Reports To: Audio and Technology Lead

FLSA Status: Full-time, Exempt, Sunday-Thursday

Department: Weekend Services

Role Summary: The Production Specialist oversees the technical operations of TC Lake Wylie. They ensure an excellent and distraction-free experience for Transformation Church’s Sunday services and special events through the set-up, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Production equipment. This role is the main Production point of contact for TC Lake Wylie.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As a TC team member, responsible for personal spiritual formation, growing as an Upward, Inward, Outward disciple of Jesus Christ. This will mainly be expressed through the Five Characteristics of a Transformer (worship, connect, serve, give, invite).
  • Responsible for protecting the Culture of TC and for living out the Five C’s—Character, Competency, Catalytic, Collaboration, and Chemistry.
  • Proactively lead and shepherds Servant Leaders within the Production Team.
  • TC’s Specialists are experts in their field, offering specialized guidance, overseeing specific tasks and project areas.
  • AV Technician represents TC Lake Wylie as the main Production point of contact.
  • Champions the weekend services at TC Lake Wylie through planning and programming of production equipment.
  • Attends special event meetings to ensure all Production Teams are well-equipped.
  • Collaborates with all TC teams to provide high-quality support for the whole Production team.
  • Assists with planning and implementation of Stage and Lighting Designs at all locations.
  • Assists with installation, operation, and maintenance of production equipment at all TC locations.
  • Improves workflow, processes, and servant leader training to maintain excellence in event productions.
  • Other Duties: Will adapt to and fulfill additional assigned responsibilities as necessitated by the requirements of the role.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to drive box trucks and operate genie lifts.
  • Availability to work evenings and/or weekends required.
  • TC Membership Requirement: TC staff members must become members of Transformation Church within a reasonable period.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in production, theatre, or a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. A minimum of three years' experience in live production is required with five or more years preferred.
  • Computer/Technical Skills: Proficient user of Mac-OS devices and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required. Experience with Planning Center Online, and online project management programs such as Asana preferred.

Certificates and Licenses: CPR/AED Certification may be required (provided by Transformation Church).

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises 25+ servant leaders.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: The work environment is often performed in dim lighting conditions and the noise levels are often loud. Will require regular lifting and physical movement. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Manual dexterity abilities are required. Specific vision requirements include the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodation can be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
