Music Producer Specialist

Summary: The Music Producer Specialist oversees the creation and programming of Ableton tracks ensuring they are excellent each week for all Sunday Services and Special Events at either TC location. This specialist consistently curates, develops, and innovates TC Music’s unique sound that supports and aligns with the Vision and Values of TC.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
As a TC team member, responsible for personal spiritual formation, growing as an Upward, Inward, Outward disciple of Jesus Christ. This will mainly be expressed through the Five Characteristics of a Transformer (worship, connect, serve, give, invite).
• Responsible for protecting the Culture of TC and for living out the Five C’s—Character, Competency, Catalytic, Collaboration, and Chemistry.
• Proactively and consistently discovers, develops, disciples, and deploys Music Servant Leaders in areas pertaining to Music in accordance with the Vision and Values of Transformation Church.
• Proactively leads and shepherds through relational opportunities—one on one, small groups, midsize groups, large groups—in order to have a personal relationship with Servant Leaders within the Music Team. • Oversees and executes the programming of Ableton Live for all TC related events at all TC locations.
• Manages the purchasing and receipt keeping of tracks and other rehearsal resources for the team. (Apple Music MP3’s, Multitracks, Loop Community, Chord Charts.)
• MD’s for Sunday Services and Special Events.
• In collaboration with the Music Specialist, leads in the editing and adding of Vocal Stem recordings.
• In collaboration with the Music Lead, regularly evaluates the effectiveness of existing Music activities and initiatives, investigating and developing new growth opportunities and pathways for the success and development of the Music ministry.
• Champions deep collaboration between ministries on all departmental planning and projects.
• Collaborates with Music Lead and Creative Music Specialist to ensure that the team has all the needed resources to rehearse songs. (Multitracks, MD notes, Charts, MP3’s)
• Creates and programs original arrangements into Ableton Live.
• Creates relationships with the team and encourages musical growth.
• Oversees the organization of files in Dropbox from Ableton, Studio Stems, Multitracks.
• Produces TC Original Music including original pre and post service music.
• Collaborates with the Music Lead to plan and implement all aspects of the Music Team for weekend services including but not limited to song selection and arrangement in alignment with sermon series goals, musician selection, and scheduling.
• Attends and champions the music rehearsals and weekend services ensuring the Music Team is well equipped to execute an excellent service or event each week timely and in order.
• Collaborates with the Music Lead and Music Specialist with special Music Team events such as but not limited to Greenroom Sessions, Live Recordings, New Music Debuts.
• In collaboration with the Music Lead and Music Specialist, develops and executes original music.
• In collaboration with the Music Specialist, provides mastered songs for all uploads to publishing houses.
• Coaches and develops musicians and instrumentalists in the TC sound, leading them and the congregation into engaging worship through (existing and original) music.
• Responsible for the development and training of current and future servant leaders to hold the position of MD.
• In collaboration with the Music Lead, assists with the auditioning, onboarding, equipping, and shepherding for the Music Team.

Additional Requirements:

• Availability to work evenings and/or weekends as required.

TC Membership Requirement: TC staff members must become members of Transformation Church within a reasonable period.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with three years of ministry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in a music related field with five years of experience at a pastoral level in a ministry context is preferred.

Computer/Technical Skills: Exceptional knowledge of music theory, advanced use of music instruments and equipment as well as music production software such as Ableton, Pro Tools and/or Logic; intermediate level ability to use Microsoft Office software and CCB/MyTC. Experience using Distrokid or other digital music distribution services preferred.

Certificates and Licenses: CPR/AED Certification (training provided by Transformation Church)

Supervisory Responsibilities: This role is responsible for overseeing 25+ Servant Leaders.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: The work environment is generally moderate, with varying lighting conditions and noise levels. Will require occasional lifting and physical movement. Specific vision and manual dexterity abilities are required. Reasonable accommodation can be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
